The education system in New Zealand

There are three levels in the New Zealand education system: early childhood, school, and university. New Zealand has many modern universities that are world leaders in their research and innovations. There are eight state-funded universities in New Zealand, all internationally respected for their academic and research performance. Cost of studying in New Zealand

Studying abroad is expensive, taking into account the currency conversion of New Zealand and Nepal. Therefore, to study in New Zealand from Nepal, your finances should cover the living expenses and tuition fees. Apart from the costs mentioned earlier, you should set some funds aside for health coverage as an international student. Tuition fees at a top-ranked university are between NZ$ 22,000 and NZ$ 35,000 per year. However, the expenditure on tuition varies depending on the type of degree course and the university. The country offers employment opportunities to international students while they study. Nepalese students can work 20 hours per week and full time during holidays to keep up with the living costs. To start working during your student life, you need to acquire Inland Revenue Department number, also called the IRD number.

Admission Requirements to Study in New Zealand

Undergraduate students need Proof of English Language Proficiency to enroll in the respective course. The same is applied to Postgraduate Studies too. Many international students take English for Academic Study courses before starting formal academic studies. In addition, there are special English language courses available throughout the year, ranging from four weeks to 12 months. Students who are competent in English are more likely to do short-term foundation studies or pre-university orientation studies. Visa requirements to Study in New Zealand

You will need to apply for a student visa for any course that lasts longer than three months. To apply for a student visa application you need:
